Joel Ward, Vice President – Senior Fund Controller, joined Sun Capital in 2026. Prior to joining Sun Capital, Mr. Ward served as Chief Financial Officer at Chatham Capital, a private debt investment firm, where he built an institutional-grade accounting and financial reporting infrastructure for the firm’s investment vehicles and optimized back-office operations and internal controls. He previously held roles at PwC, J.P. Morgan Private Bank, Guggenheim Partners, and EARNEST Partners. Joel is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in New York and received a Bachelor of Science degree with dual majors in Accounting and Finance from St. John’s University.
