Sami Abbasi, Managing Director, joined Sun Capital in 2021. Sami has spent his entire career in healthcare services, where he has a long track record of leading and founding healthcare organizations that have led meaningful change in their segments. For over thirty years, he has successfully grown businesses in the physician practice and multi-site healthcare markets.
Prior to joining Sun Capital, Sami co-founded and served as CEO of Unifeye Vision Partners, a leading ophthalmology practice management company. Previously he held CEO positions for successful publicly traded and private equity-backed healthcare companies in the anesthesiology, pathology, surgery center and radiology markets.
Sami earned his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and his Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester.
