Market Leader Achieved Customer Growth, Completed Facility Expansion and Enhanced Innovative Product Offerings
Sun Capital Partners, Inc. (“Sun Capital”), a leading private investment firm specializing in leveraged buyouts and investments in market-leading companies, today announced that an affiliate has completed the sale of Certified Power Inc. (“Certified Power” or the “Company”), a leading, value-added specialty distributor of highly-engineered fluid power and power train products, to an affiliate of Brinkmere Capital Partners, LLC. Terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Mundelein, Illinois, with nine locations throughout the Midwest, Certified Power has established itself as the premier source for custom-designed fluid power and power train solutions. The Company services the on- and off-highway mobile equipment market, and partners with its customers in the design, engineering, service and repair of customized products. Certified Power provides a broad suite of products and services, and is viewed as a strong partner, often serving as an extension of its customers’ internal capabilities.
Following the acquisition of Certified Power by an affiliate of Sun Capital, the Company increased its sales efforts to achieve customer growth in both the mobile and fluid systems businesses. It also completed a facility expansion effort to support customer growth, and pursued the development of new and innovative solutions.
